Women’s Counselling Near Craven Arms & Broome
A calm, grounded space where your nervous system can settle — and life can start to feel easier.
Hi, I’m Dionne
I’m an accredited counsellor offering face-to-face sessions in Broome, near Ludlow and Craven Arms, as well as online counselling. I work mainly with women, and also with children aged 6+.
Many women I meet are capable and caring, often appearing to “hold it together,” but inside may feel anxious, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Common thoughts I hear are:
-
“I’m exhausted, but I can’t switch off.”
-
“I don’t feel like myself anymore — I don’t even know who I am.”
-
“I’ve tried therapy before, but I need support that actually makes a difference — practical tools, not just talking at a therapist with little back."
What Counselling With Me Feels Like
Counselling with me is a safe, calm, and collaborative space. Together, we:
-
Explore patterns, experiences, and emotions
-
Use practical tools to ease anxiety, overwhelm, or exhaustion between sessions
-
Work holistically — mind, body, and emotions
-
Move at your pace, with choices and consent guiding everything
I can mix traditional counselling approaches with practical techniques — mindfulness, EFT, breathwork, somatic practices (like gentle movement or yin yoga), and creative options — so you can start noticing real changes quickly.
Many women are surprised at how soon they feel a difference. Most who complete a series of sessions notice significant relief in 4-9 sessions, though some see breakthroughs in just a few and some do need longer (often with complex issues).
My Space in Broome
My home-based practice is warm, welcoming, and very different from clinical settings. You’ll find blankets, a choice of teas (apparently the best tea in Shropshire!), and sometimes my little poodles for comfort — optional, of course. Many clients say just arriving helps them relax and makes therapy more effective.
Who I Support
I work with women struggling with:
-
Anxiety, panic, overthinking, obsessional thinking and compulsive behaviours or phobias
-
Emotional overwhelm, burnout, chronic fatigue syndrome or exhaustion
-
Grief, loss, or complicated sadness
-
Feeling lost or disconnected from themselves
-
Low self-worth, people-pleasing, or guilt around boundaries
-
Periods of transition - aging, parenting, caring, menopause, divorce etc.
I also provide specialised support for women who are highly sensitive, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, or have felt misunderstood elsewhere. I have experience of working with Christians and those who have experienced spiritual coercion or harm. You will be met with care, understanding, and respect.
If your situation isn’t listed, please ask — I’ll be honest about what I can support you with.

Warmly,
Dionne
* I am inclusive so if you feel my approach resonates with you, your gender identification is irrelevant. I specialise in the issues impacting women - burn out, anxiety, transitions, fears, trauma, identity crisis. I work holistically.
