Women's Face to Face Counselling in Malvern That Makes a Difference
Hi,
I’m Dionne, a fully qualified and accredited counsellor and mindfulness/EFT therapist, based in Malvern offering face to face and online sessions. I currently have both online (1) and face to face (1) availability (July 2025). I work with women* and children, as this is an area I have specialised in. You can read more in 'My Approach' Section about my work as a women's counsellor and the specialisms I can help with, as well as below.
Therapy That’s Practical & Holistic
I’m not a stereotypical 'passive' counsellor. Alongside talking therapy each session can include therapeutic mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), coaching techniques, creativity and/or breathwork. This enables us to work with and help heal both your mind, heart and body. Clients often find this combined approach makes a real difference. The combined holistic approach can help you to feel calmer, stronger, and more in control, faster, as a result. My average number of sessions needed is typically around 9, sometimes fewer, sometimes more if significant trauma or challenges still current are to be addressed. Of course results vary based on you, your situation but generally whilst long-term work is not unusual it's also usually the case that we know early on if longer-term work is likely and I will always be honest with you.
A Comfortable, Authentic Space
"Authenticity is about being true to who you are, even when everyone around you wants you to be someone else."
This is key to my approach. We both meet as we are—I'm real, open, and ready to do the work with you, sharing insight, strategies and insights as you work through your history, your current challenges and look to your future goals and hopes. My approach is very much 'together. I believe that for genuine therapy to take place we must also connect and relate as human beings, as well as therapist and client. That's why I stress a comfortable space for you.
My counselling room is designed to feel like a 'home away from home' — casual, and inviting, and far from any clinical, impersonal vibe. My space appeals to many women who do not want the clinical feel of a space, devoid of all personality but who are drawn to a human connection and want to feel relaxed enough to 'spill the tea'. So if you decide I am a good match for you, expect a warm welcome, blankets for the comfort you sometimes might need when feeling exhausted or burnt out, a cup of tea, and even a friendly pet if you’d like. My therapy space is a overlooking my garden and has its own private entrance. There is plentiful parking outside the house.
What you can expect if we work together?
Many clients appreciate my blend of deep empathy and practical strategies which means together, we can:
🌱 Help you feel calmer and in control with techniques you can use daily for the rest of your life.
💡 Learn to manage anxiety and overwhelming emotions without distress.
🤍 Navigate grief and loss with self-compassion, insight and understanding.
🛡️ Set boundaries and rebuild confidence in relationships.
✨ Reconnect with your self-worth and rediscover what you love.
A Bit About Me
I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my work. As someone who identifies as a highly sensitive person and a tad neurospicy (ASD/ADD/HSP), I understand what it’s like to feel different, judged, or misunderstood. Creating a space where everyone is welcome and where you feel truly seen and supported is my passion. I have a previous work history in school l leadership, as a teacher coach, advisor and teacher working with vulnerable children with additional needs as well as supporting and representing vulnerable adults. I run grief workshops and retreats and am planning to start some mindfulness sitting groups for clients who have completed at least 6 sessions, on a donation basis. I have also volunteer for a national bereavement charity offering grief support to both children and adults. I love dogs, forests, Scotland and travel. I'm also a parent of two grown up children.

* While my work focuses on women’s mental health, and I use a holistic approach that works well with women, I also welcome trans women, non-binary people, and/or men who relate to the experiences I specialise in and the ways I work. If you're unsure whether we’d be a good fit, I’m happy to offer a free consultation to talk it through
