Grief Insights Workshop

Grief Can Feel Like a being stuck in a Whirl Pool. I Co-facilitate a Grief Insights Workshop to Help You Through the First Months and Years of Grief After a Significant Loss
With Julie Foster and myself, both qualified and accredited grief therapists, we invite you to our hands-on one-day workshop blending creativity and psychological insight. It's been designed for anyone in the early years of loss who feels like life is overwhelming. Designed to help you move through your grief with insight and to ultimately help you to find hope again.
Does this sound familiar: You wake up exhausted. The day hasn’t even started and already your body is flooded with anxiety or distress, your mind spinning with the past and present and not in good ways! Some days you’re flat. Other days you’re flooded with overwhelming feelings that make no sense and consume you.
Grief doesn’t follow logic. It follows its own wild cycle — and we as humans often get stuck inside it, just doing our best trying to breathe and keep our heads above water whilst we come to terms with our loss.
This workshop is here to help you step out of the whirlpool.
'Grief Insights' is a one-day, small-group workshop experience led by myself and another experienced grief counsellor. You’ll explore creative ways to express your grief. Activities are based around evidence-based psychological tools that help regulate your nervous system. They help bring understanding to the chaos grief can bring, especially so in the early months and years.
The workshop is not therapy — but it’s deeply therapeutic. There is always an offer to work with us individually, after meeting us if you further support (costs apply).
At the end of our day, you’ll come away with:
-
A new understanding of how grief is affecting your body and mind
-
Tools to regulate your nervous system and manage anxiety
-
Creative ways to process what words can’t always express
-
A plan for how to cope through the next phase of grief
-
A felt sense of connection — to yourself and others who get it
-
You’ll also leave with something rare: Relief. Permission. A sense that you are not broken — you’re grieving.
This is for you if…
-
You’re in the first 2 years after a major loss
-
You feel emotionally chaotic, numb, anxious or ashamed of how you’re coping
-
You long for connection, but don’t want to sit in a circle and bare your soul to strangers or even go out the house (you will need to come out but this will help to understand your withdrawal)
-
You want tools that are gentle, creative and grounded in real psychology taught by qualified grief specialist counsellors, with experience in the hospice movement, a national bereavement charity, teaching and as a mindfulness coach.
This is not a talk. This is a space. A place to show the whirlpool and help you learn strategies of how to stay afloat, how to reconnect. To learn how to feel safer again.
Your grief doesn’t need fixing. But you may like and benefit from some skilled support.
