Emotional Freedom Technique
Tapping

Tapping is a technique that works with acupuncture points which we work together to tap on. This helps to 'tun off' some of the conscious mind.  Tapping gives the body a chance to access some unconscious parts of our brain and to 're-program' our mind so that we can find release from thoughts, emotions or behaviours that trouble us.  It is a very therapeutic process that is effective with a range of issues.

I am able to work with children and young people, with written parental consent, since I have graduate and post graduate teaching qualifications and over 30 years experience as a teacher.  I also work with adults. I can work in local primary schools (to Malvern) or by Zoom or in person.

Lots of people find that this technique works and is especially good for phobias and managing the symptoms of post traumatic stress and other issues linked to anxiety such as phobias.  There is now research supporting the effectiveness of EFT using evidence-based standards (APA standards form the American Psychological association). The findings are that clinical trials "consistently demonstrated strong effect sizes and other positive statistical results that far exceed chance after relatively few treatment sessions". (Feinstein, D. (2012). Acupoint stimulation in treating psychological disorders: Evidence of efficacy. Review of General Psychology, 16(4), 364-380)

If you are interested, please get in touch.  Cost is £35 for a 50 minute session by Zoom or face to face.  Includes mindfulness practices and reflective inquiry in each session.
